Sony New Full-frame Camera A7R IV Jul 23,2019

SONY has announced its new full-frame Mirrorless Camera a7R IV.

With a world's first 61MP full-frame back-illuminated sensor, the a7R IV sits at the top of the market. It has15-stop dynamic range and up to 32,000 ISO and can shoot up to 240MP images because the BIONZ X processing which ensures outstanding quality and sharpness while enhanced Pixel Shift Multi Shooting.

Equipped with 567 phase-detect AF points and the latest Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF technologies, the A7R IV can still achieve 10fps high-speed continuous shooting in autofocus tracking mode (68 shots in a single shot). Real-time AF is now available in video as well.

Sony has upgraded buttons and dials along with a new 5.76m-dot EVF and redesigned grip make the a7R IV the most comfortable and ergonomic a7 series camera yet.

Improved over the previous generation, the a7R IV’s UHD 4K video is maximized in an APS-C/Super35 mode where it downsamples from 6K to create a sharp 4K image.

It also has vastly improved focusing performance, including Eye AF, and a completely new Digital Audio Interface for improved sound recording.

The A7R IV system gains the latest in connecitivity—granting wireless tethering functionality—and dual UHS-II SD card slots.

What's more, the A7R IV is the first Sony camera that can instantly focus on the eye during recording. In addition, this camera also uses a new multi-interface hot shoe, the official release of the ECM-B1M gun microphone and XLR-K3M microphone adapter set.

Its price is about US$3,500, and the time to market is expected to be in late August.
